National automobiles dealers association or NADA is the collective union of automobile dealers of United States of America. NADA's headquarter is situated in Mclean, Virginia. Detroit's car manufacturer's also faced new challenges from foreign competitors like, Germany, Italy, Britain and France. 1980 ignited the Japanese invasion.

Thus, Americans became more familiar with smaller but comfortable design cars. These types became popular, among the middle class niche market, rather, then the bulky and heavy rocket fin models of the 1950's and 60's.
